Bell Canada to share how Kyvos helped it achieve sub-second response times for Strategy
LOS GATOS, Calif., Oct. 17, 2018 – Kyvos, the industry-leading semantic layer, today announced it will host a webinar titled, “BI at Exponential Scale at Bell Canada,” on Thursday, October 18, 2018, at 10:00 a.m. PDT (1:00 p.m. EDT). The webinar will explore the success of Bell Canada’s data program and why the company chose Kyvos semantic layer to scale its analytics on data at scale.
Bell Canada relies on huge volumes of data to make accurate business decisions and deliver better services to its customers. While the company has tried to build dashboards and provide actionable insights using current market offerings, it faced technological challenges in meeting its growing reporting demands with increasing data volumes and internal users. Bell Canada recognized that an architectural change would need to be made to deliver on its business teams’ requirements to interactively slice and dice the data.
The webinar, presented by Mark Huang, director of engineering at Bell Canada, and Ajay Anand, vice president of products and marketing at Kyvos, will showcase the advantages of a semantic layer in enabling multi-dimensional analytics at a massive scale.
“As companies evolve, their business intelligence and data programs need to expand to meet customer and organizational needs. However, while data teams appreciate this need to grow, finding a solution that meets the scalability and performance required to handle growing data volumes and workloads remains a challenge for many,” said Ajay Anand of Kyvos. “Bell Canada’s use case of Kyvos semantic layer demonstrates that there is a way to effectively scale analytics to achieve its business goals and provide the level of service customers expect.”
Along with discussing the business value driven by the implementation of Kyvos’ technology, the session will also explore:
- Why adopting a semantic layer was mission-critical for Bell Canada’s business team.
- How Bell Canada substantially scaled the volume of data its team could analyze while accelerating the time it takes to analyze massive datasets.
- The importance of selecting an architecture that delivers high performance with an increasing number of concurrent users.
“We’re thrilled with the results we’ve been able to achieve through our implementation of Kyvos. Large volumes of data are what allows us to make the right business decisions for our company and enables us to deliver the service our customers expect. We’re excited to continue partnering with Kyvos to further unleash big data to drive business insights.”
